The Piasa

Legends of giant birds and great monsters that wreaked havoc on mankind and devoured human flesh have continually thrived in ancient cultures. The Piasa is a legend one of those terrifying creatures. I have found my study of the Piasa to be quite fascinating, and I am convinced that whether or not the Piasa's appearance in ancient times was as it is portrayed upon the cliff above the Mississippi, some form of giant creature did at one time rule the sky while men lived on the earth. This is a video that Kurtis and I shot on our return trip from Kansas in Alton, Il.
