"Evidentialist apologetics commonly begins with the so-called theistic proofs--those arguments that should establish the probability of the existence of a god, a supreme being who is the cause of all other existence. But what good does it do to prove the existence of a god if that god is different from the one true God who has revealed Himself in Scripture? Any god other than the God of the Bible is a false god, and idol, and the figment of men's imaginations. 'Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any' (Isa. 44:8).'...I am God, and there is none else' (Isa. 45:22)."
